What is required to receive a Host City Media Center badge?

You have to apply for accreditation on the website of the Host City Media Center media.welcome2020.ru. Badges can be collected at the Host City Media Center in St. Petersburg upon providing the ID referred to on the accreditation form. Please note that to receive a badge, you will need a printed certificate of a negative PCR test for COVID-19 that was taken no earlier than 48 hours before arriving at the Host City Media Center.

What is the procedure for admitting media representatives to the Host City Media Center with coronavirus precautions?

The Host City Media Center capacity is limited due to Rospotrebnadzor's requirements. Representatives of television channels and photo agencies will have priority access.

Please note that all the Host City Media Center events will be streamed at media.welcome2020.ru. Due to the epidemiological situation, we recommend choosing online participation.

Each journalist will receive a login and password to access their personal account in their accreditation confirmation letter. Log in to your personal account to connect to live streams or ask questions to the speakers using the special form. Transcripts, photo and video content will be also available through your personal account.

How can I gain access to photos and videos as well as event transcripts?

Photos and videos will be available on the media.welcome2020.ru website after accreditation and registration on the website, using the login and password to your personal account.

How can I take part in an online media event?

Access to events will be available after accreditation and registration on the website, using the login and password to your personal account. During the event, you can ask speakers a question using a special form on the website. The moderator will read your question aloud.

How do I apply for accreditation?

Accreditation requests must be submitted on the company's letterhead and contain the name, job title, and cell phone number of the accredited employee(s). It also must include the signature of the head of the organization and the company's seal. The letter should be addressed to the UEFA EURO 2020 Host City Media Center. A scanned PDF or JPEG copy (one file, no larger than 10 MB) can be uploaded to the website. Sample

What rights does a holder of a Host City Media Center badge have?

A badge provides access to the Host City Media Center for the duration of the work.

What working conditions does the Host City Media Center provide?

The center offers journalists work spaces with access to the internet, a news conference hall, streaming of UEFA EURO 2020 matches, free Wi-Fi, and a buffet service. Special conditions will also be in force to prevent the spread of COVID-19 at the center: read the rules of the Host City Media Center.

Can I give my press badge to a colleague?

No, you cannot. Giving your badge to another person or attempting to forge it will result in cancellation of your accreditation.

When will the Host City Media Center close down?

The Host City Media Center will close down at 6 pm on July 12, 2021.

Does the Host City Media Center provide catering, accommodation and logistics services to journalists?

The Host City Media Center is not in charge of providing media representatives with accommodation, catering and logistics services.

Can I gain access to the events of the Host City Media Center in St. Petersburg with a UEFA badge?

UEFA accreditation enables journalists to visit the Host City Media Center in St. Petersburg without additional accreditation at media.welcome2020.ru.
