Third fan zone in St. Petersburg to open near Yubileiny Sports Palace

A third fan zone for UEFA Euro 2020 will be established near the Yubileiny Sports Palace in St. Petersburg. The fan zone will be a themed area for family leisure and will have a mini football pitch, football related entertainment and other activities.

The fan zone will also host meets with football legends and hold football lessons. Some Russian regions will be able to present their cultural heritage and national traditions in the fan zone.

"Together with the government of St. Petersburg, we considered creating another entertainment platform for Euro 2020, and we are grateful to the city that they agreed so quickly," said Alexei Sorokin, general director of the Euro 2020 Organizing Committee. "Many remember the spectacular Football Park on Red Square during the FIFA World Cup; it was a popular site among guests and football fans."

The fan zone near Yubileiny will relieve the load on Konyushennaya and Palace squares if too many football fans gather there.
